The first dance of the Northeast GA Federation in 2011 was held January 29th at Young Harris UMC in Athens. It was a tremendous success. A big thanks go to Classic City Squares and Happy Squares for co-hosting the event. Also thanks to Roger Loney for doing a fabulous job of calling, and to Bob Hange for cueing rounds and his wife Sandra for leading a couple of line dances. There were 124 dancers who attended. Nine callers, cuers and their taws attended. Happy Squares earned the Percentage Attendance banner with 65% of their club members attending. Lakeshore Squares earned the Attendance banner with 19 of their club members attending. On behalf of the Northeast GA Federation, thanks to all 124 who attended, called, cued, led the lines, danced, brought food, set up, cleaned up, and contributed to making it a fun and memorable evening.
